Development of fermentation processes on BioLector XT microbioreactors and Applikon bioreactors (250 mL and 1 L).

BioLector XT Microbioreactor

Beckman Coulter Life's BioLector XT microbioreactor enables strain and culture condition screening for your process developments. All types of microorganisms (yeasts, bacteria, or fungi) can be cultivated in batch or fed-batch mode.

Options offered by the equipment :

  • Up to 48 microbioreactors in series in small volumes.
  • Acquisition of non-invasive measurements in real time (biomass, pH, dissolved oxygen (DO) by fluorescence).
  • Control of individual parameters for each culture well (pH, feed) during the process.
  • Aerobic, microaerophilic and anaerobic conditions.
  • Environmental control (temperature/stirring frequency), plate geometry, and defined mass transfer conditions mean that the output data can be extrapolated to larger volume reactors.

Applikon bench-top bioreactors/fermenters (250 mL and 1 L)

Applikon bench-top bioreactors/fermenters (250 mL and 1 L) from Getinge, provided by Ferments du Futur and located at INRAE in Aurillac (distributed platform), for the development of your fermentation processes and small-scale production.

Options offered by the equipment :

  • 4 x 250 mL bioreactors and 1 x 1 L bioreactor; allows several conditions/parameters to be tested at the same time.
  • Real-time measurement acquisition (biomass, pH, dissolved oxygen (DO), temperature).
  • Control of individual parameters for each bioreactor (pH, feed, temperature, agitation) during the process.
  • Aerobic, microaerophilic and anaerobic conditions.
